  What is Worship?

  we hear a lot these days about family worship evening, but what is worship?.

  is family worship the same as family study?

  does study therefore equal worship?.

  The meetings JWs attend do not resemble worship of God in any way whatsoever they are more along the lines of a sales meeting and an instructional gathering on how to recruit to the publishing company. Included in the meeting content of course is the all important emphasis on obediance to the management.

  after the horrendous events in japan isn't it time that the human race wakes up to the fact that we are on our own and the sooner we put more effort into discovering how the universe and everything in it really works and get answers as to the how and why the sooner we can look after ourselves because god doesn't appear to be giving us much reason for having faith in him..

  I THINK IT'S RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!

  1) i think it's ridiculous to tell anyone when and how to use something they paid for ( computers and internet service ).

  2) i think it's ridiculous to tell married couples how to act in the bedroom.

  3) i think it's ridiculous to tell people what kinda cars they should buy ( 4 door for fieldservice ).

  I think it's ridiculous that a group of men can put themselves on high saying that they are being directed by the most powerful force in the universe and trying to prove it when they have been proven to be wrong time after time.

  It's also ridiculous that people are still being taken in by them.

  I think it's ridiculous that a group of adults gather together once a year to pass wine and crackers to each other and no one partakes of any of it. Especially when Jesus said eat and drink in rememberance of me.

  I think it's ridiculous that Judge Rutherford built a mansion lived in it and looked out of the windows to see if the ancient worthies, which he he would instantly recognise, come walking up the drive and saying to them I'm only house sitting for you guys.

  hi, im paula from wales, uk.

  ive been studying for 6 years with jws.

  they came at a vulnerable time, my best friend died in a car accident when she was 6 monthes pregnant, i was drinking heavily, no work due to agoraphobia, meddling with the ouija board etc....i felt they helped me, cured me if you like.

  Welcome to a good place. Hang on in here and put as much distance as you can between yourself and the barmy army aka Jehovah's Witnesses. It takes awhile throwing off the JW baggage but as the weeks go by you will unlearn all the nonsense that has come your way via the Watchtower and as you do you will feel your load getting lighter and your mind clearer. There are tremendous people here ready to answer whatever question you may have regarding Watchtower nonsense.

  So where does Rommel and the Africa Corps versus Montgommery and the Desert Rats fit in to the prophesy about North Africa massive tank battles going on in the1940s not to mention a couple of oil tankers on their way from Italy to Rommel being blown up by the RAF .

  I know judicial committees are like a witch hunt and a form of bullying and serious but if you take an example of the war against Adolph Hitler and the Natzis many weapons were and are used to diminish their power and evil . Parody and ridicule are part of that weaponry and that is how it should be you take the tools you need to do a job and use them .

  You show tyrants as they are evil and stupid. It also might strike a chord with those people who take part in those silly shenagegans it might make make them realise just how ridiculous they appear just like Hitler appeared clownish in Charlie Chaplins film The Great Dictator.

  Just my thoughts.
